My passion for traveling began when I was a child. Every year and a couple of times a month, my family used to travel to different parts of Mexico for pleasure. With them I was able to see most of the central and southern area of Mexico.
Then I started my biology degree and I have specialized in plant conservation, which has given me the opportunity to travel and see many natural reserves in Mexico and the world. For my bachelor’s and master’s thesis I collaborated on conservation and restoration projects in natural reserves in Mexico, while for my PhD I worked in a natural area in Southern Costa Rica. As part of my studies, I traveled to conferences and courses in different countries and, as a good adventurous person, I stayed a couple of days to discover and visit those places. While I was working, I took advantage of my vacations to explore different countries around the world on my own.
All these trips have made me realize how unique every corner of the world is and that we can learn a lot from each new place and people we know. Traveling has also made me aware of the uniqueness of the cultural heritage, historical monuments, food and biodiversity that Mexico has to show the world.
