Most of the trips will include cities with paved roads and sidewalsk, but also small villages with less developed infrastructure. We suggest you to bring a backpack since it would be easier for you to carry it in any place during the trip, but still you could bring a suitcase if that is more convenient for you.
Since we may be transporting 10-15 people in a trip, there is a limited space in the van truck. Therefore, only 2 luggages are allowed: 1 AxBxC backpack or suitcase and 1 small backpack.
Spanish is the first language in Mexico and English is spoken in some touristic places. In small villages people do not speak English. But do not worry, you will be accompanied with a guide that speaks English and Spanish.
Mexico is a big country that has a variety of weathers depending on the area you are visiting. In general, between November and February some areas may be cool (10-15°C, XXX° F) and the rest of the year may be hot (25-35°C, XX °F). Therefore, we strongly suggest you to check the weather before departing to your trip.

Food prepared in street kiosks might not be hygienic. We suggest you to eat in local established restaurants where they have higher standard of hygiene when preparing the food.
Tap water in Mexico has chlorine and therefore is clean. However, people in Mexico do not use to drink tap water, so we suggest you to but bottle water at a local store.
Tips are not mandatory in Mexico but people expected them. If you decide to give a tip, a common percentage you could give is 10% of the total amount.
In a general way, Mexico is a safe country. However, we suggest you to take the following precautions to have a better experience during your trip:
Do not provide any personal information to strangers (address where you are staying, phone number)
Avoid lonely street without public light
Avoid using expensive electronic equipment on the streets (tablet, laptop)
Take always care of your personal belongings
The availability of cellphone service will depend on your company. We suggest you to check in advance if your cellphone will work in Mexico. Another option would be to buy a chip from cellphone companies in Mexico, such as Telcel, Movistar, XXXXX. However, there are some rural areas where the cellphone signal will not be available.
The WiFi service is variable, being available in some places but not in others. If your cellphone company has internet connection service in Mexico, we suggest to acquire it.
The type of clothes and accessories you will need for your trip will depend on the package and the season you will have your trip. You will receive a list of suggestions of clothes and equipment when you sign up for your trip.
Most travelers apply vaccines for hepatitis A and typhoid. We suggest you to consult your physician before traveling so that he can give you updated information about the vaccines needed.
